I am clearly abusing the plant next to me at my day job. I've never had a "green thumb" or went out of my way to have plants in my apartment let alone be in charge of keeping them alive. I enjoy watering my mom's plants and ferns out back home in California but I don't want a plant to maintain in the city right now. It's like a child or pet, not ready for the commitment yo! This plant in my office, I guess it was once a vibrant red Christmas poinsettia but my boss brought it in from home drab and green. This was 2 years ago. It still sits next to me. I've lately taken up little experiments such as adding some lemon or lime La Croix to it. Once or twice I've done that with Ginger Ale. When I'm leaving for the day and feel too lazy to walk the can to the kitchen I recycle it in the plant or I'll add my cold tea water to the plant. It's still water. Right? Whatever the abuse or lack there of I am doing, the fucker is still alive. It's getting bigger and greener and more impossible to kill "accidentally". This is what I do when I need a creative boost at work.
